Cultivating Projects For Artificial Vegetation, Breeding of Fish And Other Marine Life Forms

Desired growth of vegetation, breeding of fish and other marine forms may be achieved in areas with artificial habitats. There are favorable experiences made in other regions of the world, even if they are of a lesser scale in connection with setting out plants, fish and other marine forms.

Examples of projects:

  • Local breeds of fish and other marine forms may be increased through setting out fry. As an example we can mention lobster production which has now been implemented in Norway.
  • In certain regions habitats functioning as sanctuaries may turn out to be an important factor in letting predators settle down and thereby create a balance so that the local vegetation may be rehabilitated.
  • There may in other regions be desirable with an increased growth of plants in other to improve the marine biological environment so that it may serve as a habitat for other species. Such projects will be easier to carry out on desert bottoms if artificial habitats such as Runde habitat or Grip erosion protection are used simultaneously.
  • There are corresponding positive experiences from establishing coral growth in shallow waters in warmer climates. The products Runde habitat and Grip erosion protection may be supplemented with a technical solution that will enhance this process.

The SeaCult partnership has the necessary know-how to increase vegetation and growth of fish and other marine life forms on and around our products. An important condition for such activities is that all operations are carried out in cooperation with national and local authorities.
